Dr Roger Conlin, is a metallurgical engineer, ex head of Power/project finance for IBJ (now Mizuho), and an ex project developer. In his previous roles, Roger was very hands on in the international project sector. He has worked on a safety program for the Dungeness B advanced gas cooled reactor for the CEGB, remnant life extension projects for steam turbines, raised bilateral debt/grants for an African power project, and arranged the debt financing for power projects in India, Europe and the Middle East, including the Drax coal fired power plant.
Roger moved over from the financing of projects to the Lenders insurance due diligence services in 2009. He manages the Latin America book of Lenders due diligence business for Mandy McNeil International and has worked on hundreds of transactions in Latin America. Roger crafted the international project finance Lenders endorsements in Spanish which have become the benchmark for Latin American project financings.
